Asha Raman
Asha joined the Trust as a graduate in 2021 and I mentored her. She is very good, quicker than I was at her age and less afraid of saying so. She is being considered to lead the Hollin Lock refurbishment, which I had assumed would be mine. That is not her fault. I keep telling myself that.
What he's shared about Asha
Hollin approved. Two point one million. Gareth said "in due course", which I took to mean "obviously Bernard", because I wrote the condition report.
First week, Asha found a mistake in my numbers in front of everyone. I thought: good. That's the job.
The best thing a graduate ever did in her first week was tell me I'd got something wrong. I knew she'd go far. I didn't think she'd go quite so fast.
