Last Monday I found out Asha is likely to lead Hollin. She'll be very good. I trained her. I said "makes sense", went back to my desk and worked till half nine, which I'm aware rather proves HR's point.

Jonah said I look like my dad did before he died. I told him I was fine and then listed all the reasons I wasn't. He's the only person who'd point that out to my face.

Waiting for a boat

In April my mother got lost walking to the post office, which she's done for fifty years. She ended up on Corder's Bridge. Where I proposed to Mira, as it happens. I ran two hundred yards and I've never been so frightened. She was drinking hot chocolate. She'd been fine, mostly, it turns out. I wasn't.
